What does it mean to be LOVED BY A DOG? I think this may vary slightly for each person but for me it means UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. Dogs don't care how much money we make, what we do for a living, where we live, how we look and the list goes on. They just care that we love them back.

This I would like to share Sarah and Vinny's story of how they honored their pup Lou through a fundraiser for us. It is so incredibly creative and personal to who they are as a couple, so the fundraiser was such a natural thing for them to accomplish. Fundraising is something that is much needed and many people think of it as hard, but Sarah and Vinny show us that it isn't hard! Here is their story:
"This year we unexpectedly lost our best friend Lou at just under 10 years old to cancer on March 17th. He was an absolutely incredible guy and a huge part of our lives.
We found the cancer when we took him to the emergency vet because he was acting off, and they told us he was going to need surgery for $15,000. We gave them the go ahead because he is worth every bit of it, but he turned out to be inoperable and we had to say goodbye to him. We were outside playing on Sunday and by Tuesday he was gone.
My boyfriend and I have done a crawfish boil every year since we have been together in May to celebrate his birthday. It’s grown to be a pretty big event for something we host at home and this year was our sixth one.
We had already planned the crawfish boil like we always have, but decided to add some raffle items to see if we could raise some money to donate in honor of Lou.
We have so many awesome people in our lives that care about Louie and they were so incredibly generous. Someone even brought us a chainsaw carving of Lou. The initial money sent over was what we raised at the boil plus a small amount we added. The additional donation was some money our neighbor brought over the next day since they weren’t able to make it.
I appreciate what you guys do and pray the odds for pups change in the future.
We will be doing a fundraiser every year in honor of him and will donate on our own as we can. " - Sarah S
