Peter Pan, as a book, was published in 1911. The Author, JM Barrie, had never been outside the United Kingdom yet wrote about Native people. He used words and phrases that are today considered racial slurs and racial stereotypes so the story has been banned for this reason.

We use the words written in 1911 to show how language and people change and learn while highlighting other words from 1911 we don't use anymore and words used for the first time. Like Icre Cream Cone!
