Let’s face it, planks, bird dogs and dead bugs are boring. I hate boring. So today, I decided to share with you an amazing core circuit I threw together the other day which felt amazing to do!

Plus, this hits literally all aspects of the core in all planes of motion!

1️⃣ Russian Twists with Plate
2️⃣ Standing Side Bends
3️⃣ Prayer Crunches
4️⃣ Supine Knees to Elbows
5️⃣ Stability Ball Tuck Up / Pike Up Combo
6️⃣ Toes to Bar

3-5 rounds

⁉️Why? Because you have to have a very low body fat percentage to actually see that 6 pack...and that means that nutrition / calories in vs calories out is what ultimately matters most.

🧩Frozen shoulder (also called adhesive capsulitis) is a challenging & painful condition in which an individual has a loss of range of motion in their shoulder, including a loss of strength and a loss of function. Washing your hair, putting a plate away in a cupboard or fastening a bra are all examples of everyday things that are near impossible to do with a frozen shoulder.

🧩We don’t fully understand what causes this, although it is suspected that there is some underlying inflammatory condition that causes these limitations and impairments, and more times than not I see some rotator cuff involvement.

🧩Treatment for this condition (like most conditions) is very INDIVIDUALIZED and should be focused first on restoring range of motion & strength within the range of motion. I find its best NOT to crank on these patients as that can do more harm than good, and instead I may do a little soft tissue, shoulder and thoracic spine mobilizations and then initiate exercises I know they will adhere to on their own (which include both open chain and closed chain exercises).

Here are some of those exercises I give patients early on to achieve those goals described above & to maximize joint function:
1️⃣ Wall Thoracic Extension
2️⃣ Wall Shoulder Rotations
3️⃣ Standing Shoulder CARs
4️⃣ Standing Scapular CARs
5️⃣ Child Pose
6️⃣ Prone Cross Body Stretch

I recommend doing 1-3 sets for 6-12 reps at least 3 times a week with some light rowing and posterior chain strengthening movements added in.
