Celebrate the sounds of Indigenous creativity at the Heard Museum during Make Music Phoenix 2026!
This free, all-ages event brings live music to the Heard Museum campus by Ryon Polequaptewa (Hopi) and Darryl Tonemah (Kiowa/Comanche/Tuscarora). Come for the music, stay for the stories, and join in on this annual citywide celebration of music and community.

Tomorrow, award-winning Tlingit artist James Johnson will join us for a live carving demonstration and share how his work is rooted in heritage, storytelling, and place.

Memorial Day Giveaway 💙

Veterans in attendance for tomorrow’s Memorial Day event will receive a unique quilt made by Quilts2Heal volunteers (while supplies last).

Join us from 10 am – 2 pm for a day of remembrance in honor of American Armed Forces service members and their families. The event includes a flag-raising ceremony, drum songs, veteran artist demos, storytelling, and more.
