Want to make your pool as safe as possible? Just put these layers of protection in place: 1. Active supervision. 2. Door/window alarms. 3. High locks on all doors/windows leading to the pool. 4. Four foot tall (or higher) pool safety fence isolating the pool from the house. 5. Personal immersion alarm on the child, i.e. Safety Turtle. 6. Pool alarm in the pool. 7. Swimming lessons for the child. 8. CPR certified, in case all else fails. Make a list, check off each one, and your pool will be safer for it.
