LEA-Architects
Our design philosophy focuses on developing specific designs that are in direct response to each client’s individual functional requirements, site/community influences, and budgetary constraints. We use our extensive experience in programming, sustainable green design, and knowledge of the local context to identify critical issues and resolve them in an economical, functional and regionally appropriate design.

LEA was proud to serve as the Architect for the new Tempe Fire Station No. 2 and attend the Building Dedication ceremony this morning. Fire Station No. 2 is designed with a focus on sustainability and firefighter health and incorporates a memorial and public art installation dedicated to fire fighter Tommy Arriaga. We are humbled to have had the opportunity to work with such a great team on delivering this important project for the City of Tempe and Fire and Medical Rescue Department.

LEA Architects is working with the State of Arizona in designing a new transitional shelter and health clinic to help provide solutions to the ever increasing mental health and homelessness issues we are facing in our community. It is great to see our state recognized. Here is a small quote from the article:
“Some states, like Arizona, have shown remarkable success by using state Medicaid funds for supportive housing, and they are now asking permission to use federal Medicaid money, too. It’s an appealing option for states because unlike rental assistance from HUD, Medicaid is an entitlement, and its budget expands to accommodate everyone who qualifies. No one has to ask Congress for funds.”

Our urban infill project in old town Scottsdale received unanimous approval from the City of Scottsdale design review board and we are excited to see the project moving forward. The design draws inspiration from the old west character of the area using natural materials of board and batten wood siding, ground face masonry, weathering steel and glass to create a architectural aesthetic that is respectful of the surrounding context but appropriate for today’s modern era.
