Investors are buying one in five affordable homes. Major institutions are buying up these homes.

“The real reason housing has outpaced anything else is because there are three giant corporations: BlackRock, Vanguard, and State Street. They already own 88% of the stock market and are now coming after single-family homes in America.” -

So with large institutions buying up affordable homes, 70% of current homeowners with a 2-3% interest rate not wanting to move, and thanks to inflation and rising material costs, zoning laws, and politics it has made it a lot more expensive for builders to build smaller more affordable homes. With all this talk about Short Term Rentals let’s go over some pros and cons. Like all real estate investing you must have multiple exit strategies - where a lot of STR investors are seeing pain is the fact that they bought with only the idea of STR cash flow covering their expenses and now as revenue is down they can’t switch it to long term without being in the negative.

Some of the best advise I have learned from owning STRs and having clients that own multiple STRs is that you have to treat it as a business. Its daily tasks and activities to be successful. Its not just set it up and forget it. If you want to get into real estate investing you have to set a game plan and you have to do your research. As a real estate investor and owner of multiple properties, I am here to share my guidance and experience with my clients 😊
