Cool Arizona Road Trips: The week between Christmas and New Years is for many a downtime week and is a good opportunity to take an AZ road trip for a day or 2. Here are some suggestions we recommend: 1) Wilcox is about a 3.5 hour drive from Phoenix with a couple of brief stops. www.explorecochise.com 2) Tubac & Tumacacori is about 3.25 hours from Phoenix with a couple of stops. https://www.nps.gov/tuma AND www.tubacaz.com 3) Boyce Thompson Arboretum. About an hour drive east of central Phoenix. You can also work in stops in Superior and Globe. www.btarboretum.org 4) Montezuma Castle National Monument. Built around 1200 A.D., you've whipped by the exit many times as you head north on Interstate I17 but have you ever checked it out? Cool place.
