My first family session since moving back to the East Coast 🥹

After 2 years in the desert, there’s something about returning to the ocean that feels a bit like returning to myself. Everything feels a little more honest here, a little bit more real. Everything is slower and softer. I forgot how much I missed this light.

These are the moments I always hope my clients carry with them years from now. Sandy feet, windblown hair, and arms wrapped around each other while the waves drown out the rest of the world for a while.

Does anyone else have those days where you have to pinch yourself to see if you’re dreaming? Friday was that day for me. Once I decided to move to Arizona, I fantasized about desert golden hour weddings and magical backdrops. Alexandra & Chase’s elopement was picture perfect and one that I will be thinking about for a loooooong time.

It’s hard to believe that I’ve been living my southwestern dreams for a whole week now. I still have to pinch myself when I wake up to make sure this is actually my life. Can’t wait to start shooting weddings and mix romance with this gorgeous backdrop 🌵
