The Worker
📈 Stability changes everything.
For Misty, it meant confidence. ⭐️
For Jose, it meant family. 🧑🧑🧒🧒
For Lamont, it meant security. 💪
These aren’t just employment stories. They’re stories about what becomes possible when someone gains the stability to move forward.

One story inspired another. ❤️ After seeing a video about The Worker during Mass, Luis Garcia felt called to get involved.
Not long after, he welcomed Dominic onto the team at Garcia’s Family Auto Repair.
⭐️What began as a moment of inspiration became an opportunity that changed a life.
As part of our “Stability Changes Everything” series, Dominic and Luis remind us that sometimes all it takes is one person choosing to say “yes.”

🏆 Nonprofit Organization of the Year!🏆
We are incredibly honored to have received ’s 2026 Champions of Change Award for Nonprofit Organization of the Year!
This recognition reflects the impact made possible by our clients, donors, volunteers, Preferred Business Partners, and supporters who believe in the dignity of work.
The award also included a $7,500 grant that will help us continue creating pathways to self sufficiency through quality employment.
Thank you to our COO, Daren Strunk, for representing our team at the awards ceremony and accepting this honor on behalf of everyone who makes our mission possible.
Thank you, Arizona. ❤️
Success looks different for everyone. ❤️
💪 For some, it took determination to keep going.
🎉 For others, it took encouragement from our team.
🧰 For many, it took wraparound support to keep the job after getting hired.
Hear directly from clients at St. Joseph the Worker about what helped them find success through Workforce Development and move toward lasting stability through employment.
Recent job reports may show strong numbers — but many job seekers are still facing barriers that statistics alone do not capture.
This St. Joseph the Worker Day, we were proud to join to share how The Worker is helping individuals across the Valley build lasting stability through quality employment, life skills education, personal finance support, meal budgeting knowledge, and more.
Because finding a job is only the beginning — sustaining it is what creates long term change. 💛

🎥 A look back at our The Worker Day Happy Hour & Open House ❤️
This night was more than a celebration. It was a reminder of what becomes possible when a community comes together to invest in dignity, stability, and opportunity.
Thank you again to everyone who joined us, toured our space, connected with our mission, and helped make the evening so special.
Throughout the evening, we also shared ways our community can directly support clients as they begin rebuilding stability through employment and housing. Whether it’s helping someone stay energized during a job search, prepare for an interview, or move into stable housing, every donation makes a real impact.
Even a small gift can help someone take their next step forward. ❤️

🏡 A big moment for The Worker.
We recently celebrated the grand opening of Joe’s House, our first fully-owned Workforce Villages location. 💙
This new home represents a major step forward for employment-driven housing in Arizona.
During the event, we heard from Mesa Councilwoman Jenn Duff () and Issa, the first resident of Joe’s House.
His story is a powerful reminder that stability starts with more than just a job.
If you missed the event, this recap video lets you hear directly from Issa and experience some of the day’s most meaningful moments.
⭐️ Want to support future residents?
Our Welcome Kits help participants feel prepared, supported, and at home from day one with essential items and everyday comforts.
Every donation helps someone start their next chapter stronger.

🏠 Joe’s House is now our first fully owned Workforce Villages home, expanding our commitment to employment-driven housing and creating even more pathways to long-term self-sufficiency.
🎤 We were honored to hear from Councilwoman Jenn Duff (Jenn Duff), as well as Issa, the very first resident of Joe’s House, who shared what this opportunity has meant for his journey.

Vincent had the job. 💼 What he needed was the chance to get ahead.
While working as a transport aide at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Vincent entered our Workforce Villages program—where he saved over $7,000 and gained the budgeting skills to keep moving forward.
This is what stability looks like.
More stories like Vincent’s are possible—but only with your support.
Join us at the grand opening of Joe’s House, our brand-new Workforce Villages location, or make a gift today.
