Homeless Youth Connection

We provide housing, case management & emotional support. Our vision is that homelessness will not limit a youth’s opportunity for a successful future.

Research shows that youth facing housing instability are more likely to experience challenges with their mental health, including symptoms of trauma, anxiety, and depression. Many have also faced difficult experiences such as abuse, violence, or significant loss before ever experiencing homelessness. These challenges are often invisible, yet youth carry them every day as they navigate school, work, relationships, and the uncertainty of not having a stable place to call home.

With safety, stability, and support, healing is possible. This PTSD Awareness Month, we honor the resilience of youth and recognize the importance of compassionate, trauma-informed care that meets them where they are.

Thank You, Season For Sharing!
For more than 30 years, Season for Sharing has helped Arizona nonprofits strengthen communities and support neighbors in need.
Thanks to the generosity of Arizona Republic readers, matching donors, and Season for Sharing, HYC received a $10,000 grant to help support youth experiencing homelessness across Maricopa County and Flagstaff.
Support from community partners like Season for Sharing helps youth focus on school instead of worrying about where they'll sleep, how they'll get to class, or whether their basic needs will be met.
We're grateful for Season for Sharing's longstanding commitment to Arizona nonprofits and for investing in youth experiencing homelessness.

We’re so grateful to the team from Invitation Homes for volunteering with us today!
They helped us tackle a major task in our resource room-counting and sorting over 4,100 items for our end-of-year inventory. This behind-the-scenes work makes a huge difference in helping us stay organized and continue supporting youth with the resources they need.
We’re also grateful to see a familiar face who once served in our Host Family program now returning to give back. 💙

This year, 36 HYC youth are receiving the Dorothy Fisher Scholarship, continuing their education at universities, community colleges, trade schools, and training programs across Arizona and beyond. 🎓

They are pursuing nursing, engineering, business, education, the arts, and more—each path shaped by hope, resilience, and hard work.

We are deeply grateful to the Dorothy Fisher Scholarship donors for making this possible and helping remove barriers so youth can stay focused on their education and what comes next. 💙
