🙏🏾🚨Long Post 🙏🏾🚨I want to start this post by saying thank you to , who was the first person to show me that I could go to college and excel in the classroom because of my mind and not just because I could shoot a basketball. Upward Bound changed my life, but more importantly, the man who ran my program changed my life.

The rigor of being a part of Mr. Reese’s program meant going to class, being on time, applying yourself, doing the work, and operating in excellence. I also want to thank the community servants who poured into me and the teachers who saw me.

I said all of that to say this… I spent last week at Harvard University School of Business. When I learned of Harvard, I was a junior in high school, and I remember thinking to myself, “Wow, that type of academic prestige is out of my reach coming from where I come from.” So I silently placed that dream and thought away in the back of my mind. I never mentioned it out loud to anyone.

I revisited the thought when I had my first child, and I thought, He’s going to Harvard, and I can’t wait to buy my Harvard Mom oversized sweatshirt. I did say it out loud this time with pride and joy because I knew my son was being put in position to achieve the goal of Harvard, if he chose that school.

Well, last week God made it so that I didn’t have to live that dream through my child. I spent the week at Harvard as a professor in the classroom as a student. I also purchased that sweatshirt I dreamed of, but it says Harvard School of Business.

The lesson I want to share is, God hears you, every prayer, every wish, and He knows every desire. Stay the course, do the work, remain in position, and God will do the rest. Perhaps not when you want it, but He is always on time.
