Cancerous Growth! Originally released in 1985, Cancerous Growth’s “Late For the Grave” LP needed an updated design that still screamed mid 1980’s aesthetic. Scanning in the original record cover, I used the photograph, logo, and similar font treatment while adding a custom “cancerous” illustration that is repeated throughout the packaging.

I spent almost 2 years drawing and redrawing this illustration based on a chert rock I found in Northern Arizona. I have since drawn a series of these "Monsters Chert" illustrations all based on different found chert rocks.
