Your nervous system is wired to keep you safe — not necessarily happy. That means it often confuses familiar with safe.
👉 Even if a pattern is unhealthy (like toxic relationships, self-criticism, or avoidance), your body might hold onto it simply because it’s predictable.
🌱 Healing can feel uncomfortable at first because your nervous system hasn’t learned that new, healthier patterns are safe yet. With time, practice, and support, your body can relearn safety in new ways — in relationships, habits, and within yourself.
