A big shout-out to Lupe Hermosillo, who’s been rollin’ with Capitol Engineering for 25 years!
That’s 25 years of early mornings, hauling heavy loads, and showing up every single day with zero complaints (okay, maybe a few about the heat 😅). Lupe is a part of the heart and soul of this place - whether he’s loading up a truck, cracking a joke, or making sure our deliveries get there on time, he does it with pride and consistency.

Project Spotlight: Caliente – Hesperia, CA
What makes this project stand out? Columns weighing in at 38,000 lbs. each and sized at W44x408 with a length of nearly 64’ and a width of 12’ at the wing plates. Processing 1.2 million pounds of structural steel in 7 weeks took a great team and amazing leadership.
How we did it: This project required a lot of moving parts to all come together at the same time -- working with our vendors to deliver parts and our shipping partners for pickup and delivery. The team worked long hours and late nights to accomplish this project.
A big shout-out to shop superintendent Jon Hammond, foreman Garth Price and Donald (Tre) Winters and QAQC manager Eric Brock. And, special thanks to our dedicated team, subcontractors and partners who made this possible.
