Let’s talk time under tension (TUT)
It’s when you control your movement and slow down each eccentric phase by 2-6 seconds. A slower tempo promotes growth and really stimulates the target muscles. But let’s start by incorporating this method to an exercise you do often. This way we can make that one move more challenging.
My favorite move is the toe squats. As you can see I came up on my toes, grabbed my weights and went into the eccentric phase and held it for 2-3 seconds. Try doing TUT & let me know how it goes!
