SAS enjoyed attending the Sixers Youth Foundation Gala at the Fillmore Philadelphia last week. We were excited to be a Starting Five Sponsor of this event. The Sixers Youth Foundation supports youth development in Philadelphia, Camden, and the Greater Delaware Valley.

We’re proud to highlight Director of SUE Morgan Abele, who recently presented alongside Grace Moyer, Site Director at Virginia Military Institute, at the Virginia Chapter of the Association of Physical Plant Administrators (VAPPA).

In their presentation, “From Crisis Repair to Strategic Care: Protecting the Past Through Responsible Campus Maintenance,” they discussed the need to move away from quick fixes toward proactive, long-term management, particularly for maintaining historic campus infrastructure.

Their participation reflects the value of sharing knowledge and contributing to industry conversations that support more strategic, sustainable facility management practices.

Great work to both of you for advancing the conversation around responsible campus care.
