Doing inner child work this week had me realizing that I was repeating the silencing that the adults did when I was younger. Instead of allowing my feelings and thoughts to exist and to be expressed, I typically would suppress them and find immediate solutions, because the solution was more important than the feeling right? Wrong! Feelings are indicators and guides, they aren’t meant to be caged in the body, when we don’t let them flow through us, we create dis-ease in the body. We must consistently unpack the tools used to shape our youth, if not we risk becoming expert wielders of those very tools.
