Congratulations to Michael Baldwin, Jr., this year’s student commencement speaker for our graduating class. 
 
Michael is a workforce strategist and learning designer whose career has been dedicated to expanding equitable pathways for emerging talent. His Peirce College journey began through the Year Up United program, and he went on to earn his AA, BA, and now his Master of Science in Professional Studies from Peirce, a powerful testament to perseverance, purpose, and lifelong learning.
 
After relocating to Seattle, Michael’s distance only strengthened his determination to finish what he started and continue building impact on a national level. With more than a decade of experience helping Fortune 500 organizations identify and develop talent, he remains committed to creating the same opportunities that launched his own career.
 
And he’s not finished yet! This fall, he will continue his academic journey at Liberty University, where he plans to pursue a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership.
 
His story is a reminder that education can open doors, transform lives, and strengthen communities.

Congratulations to Toni Foster, whose journey is a powerful reminder that perseverance, purpose, and faith can carry us through every season of life. At 58, after more than 20 years of federal civilian service, she earned her master’s degree while balancing the roles of mother, sister, grandmother, and leader.

Her story is one of determination, legacy, and triumph, proof that it is never too late to pursue your goals and that every step along the way matters, from earning her bachelor’s degree in 2023 to completing her Master of Science in Professional Studies and Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership. These achievements reflect years of hard work, sacrifice, and resilience.

Even more inspiring? This moment is part of a powerful family legacy:

This is what community and commitment look like, and we couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of them.
