Wexler Gallery
Currently on view in Interstice, Marcus DePaula’s Titan invites viewers into an encounter with deep time and shifting perception. Originally presented at Burning Man in 2022, this immersive outdoor sculpture is fabricated from 500-million-year-old granite, using one of Earth’s oldest materials to contemplate the vast timescales that exist beyond human experience. Between its two monumental pillars, a mirrored interior transforms into an illuminated plane after sunset, dissolving the boundary between physical space and boundless possibility.
“Interstice” is on view at Wexler Gallery in Philadelphia through August 14

Now on view in Philadelphia, Marcus Vinícius De Paula’s exhibition, “Interstice” brings together sculptures that merge ancient forms with futuristic visions. Fusing light and stone, De Paula creates imagined relics that invite reflection on our relationship to the cosmos and the mysteries that continue to shape human understanding.
