Cleo Phatra

This is my first dress form. She was very old when she came to me, and she is even older now. The metal pbrackets are rusting apart, the cardboard and batting is crumbling. She has lived a life.

Today she leaves me. She was a gift from my amazing Aunt Gail, who also left me last year. I didn’t want her to go, and I don’t want to part with my dress form. But she has lived a life. She held so many special dresses. Weddings, special things made for special moments, and so many sequins.

Her time is gone, she sits in the corner because she was a gift, and I cherished her. Trying to make more space in my life for new things, new moments, which I know Aunt Gail would approve of.

Loss is hard. Grief is strange.

Up next is this gem of a show! I have loved this show since high school. I am so thrilled to be doing the production design!!!
