On Saturday, May 31, 2003, on the campus of Temple University, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, during a severe thunderstorm, seven Temple University undergraduate students, with the assistance of one undergraduate member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated and two co-advisors helped to make history by establishing Temple’s first undergraduate chapter, Omega Delta Delta. The eight Temple Unive
rsity undergraduate men selected as charter members were: Ronald W. Weathers, Jr., Delonne A. Wilbourn, Donald K. Mobley, Aaron X. Holland, Johann A. Rosario, Malik K. Murray, Ikey N. Chuku, and Brother Marcus Elbert of Gamma Epsilon Chapter. On Tuesday, June 03, 2003, at the stroke of midnight, the first meeting was held by the charter members of Omega Delta Delta to establish chapter officers. The meeting was held at 832 N. Capitol Street in Philadelphia, PA. The eight charter members were present along with Harrison Potts, Deputy Corridor Representative, Lee Rideout of Beta Gamma Chapter, and Ron Osborne of Omicron Epsilon Chapter. As a result of the meeting, Ronald Weathers was elected as Omega Delta Delta Chapter’s first Basileus, Marcus Elbert was elected as the chapter’s First Vice Basileus, Malik K. Murray was elected as Keeper of Records and Seal, Donald K. Mobley was elected as the chapter’s Keeper of Finance, Delonne Wilbourn was elected as the Chaplain, and Johann Rosario was elected as Editor to the Oracle. The Supreme Council met in Atlanta, Georgia and approved the Charter for Temple University. The Charter became official on Friday, June 6, 2003.
