Subject: 🦃 The ONLY Turkey Tradition We Want to Restore is Dinner, Not Your Kitchen! 🦃
The holidays are almost here, and we know what you’re thinking: that crispy, juicy, deep-fried turkey sounds amazing!
But before you bring the fryer inside for "just a minute," we have a friendly, safety-first request from your friends at Triage Restoration: PLEASE keep the deep fryer OUTSIDE.
We see firsthand what happens when cooking goes wrong. Turkey fryers are excellent at what they do, but they are also a leading cause of home fires during the holiday season. The risk of grease fires, oil spills, and severe burns indoors is simply too high.
We want you to spend the holidays making memories with family, not emergency calls to us or the fire department.
A Few Turkey Frying Do's & Don'ts:
❌ DON'T fry the turkey inside your house, garage, or on a wooden deck/porch.
✅ DO fry it outdoors on a flat, non-combustible surface (like concrete or pavement).
❌ DON'T use a fryer near any combustible structure or overhang.
✅ DO ensure the turkey is completely thawed and dry before it hits the oil. Water and hot oil are a dangerous mix!
❌ DON'T leave the fryer unattended.
✅ DO keep a fire extinguisher (Class K or an all-purpose ABC) nearby just in case.
We're in the business of restoring homes after fire, smoke, and water damage, and trust us, it’s a process no one wants to go through during Christmas or Thanksgiving.
Have a safe, happy, and fire-free holiday season!
