Pennsylvania's new state budget is a missed opportunity.

Despite months of negotiations, lawmakers failed to secure a long-term funding solution for public transit and failed to advance meaningful policies to address the rapid expansion of hyperscale data centers.

Reliable public transit is one of the best ways to reduce air pollution and climate pollution. Without stable funding, transit agencies will be forced to cut service and raise fares, making it harder for people to choose cleaner, more affordable transportation.

At the same time, lawmakers failed to address the growing impacts of hyperscale data centers, leaving Pennsylvanians exposed to higher energy bills, more fossil fuel pollution, and greater strain on our electric grid.

Pennsylvania can't afford to keep delaying action. We need investments that protect our environment and strengthen our communities.
