After a thorough inspection, we discovered the real issue was a triggered wet switch caused by a clogged EZ Drain trap. The blockage prevented proper condensate drainage, causing water to back up and overflow into the drain pan.

While evaluating the system, we also found a significant amount of mold growth inside the air handler and around the evaporator coil, along with contamination in the return ductwork.
