To help us get our fanciest merengue hips on, the FancyFancy features a live ballroom dance lesson from former United States 9-Dance Pro-Am National Champion Stefan Tuomanen. Stefan was the 2018 US Pro-AM Gentleman Smooth Champion and is ready to bring his smooth moves to the Fancyfancy. A true credit to the Tuomanen name!

PERFORMER SPOTLIGHT for FANCY FANCY on April 11!

Pax Ressler (they/she) is a non-binary transfemme composer, organizer and cabaret theatre artist who uses music as a participatory tool to invigorate our collective imaginations towards social change, with humor and humanity at the center. They invite the performer-audience collective to rehearse their values and imagine a better world together through political cabaret (The Bearded Ladies’ Contradict This! & GIRL DOLLS: The American Musical with Jackie Soro), communal singing with Rise Choir Collective (), and trans and non-binary advocacy in the Philadelphia theatre sector with Genderfunk Philly (). Pax is an F. Otto Haas Award finalist and Barrymore Award-winning composer whose work has been performed around the world, on the streets in parades and protests, and at cultural institutions like The Guggenheim Museum, Woolly Mammoth Theatre, and La Mama ETC (Jarbeaux’s “Rose: You Are Who You Eat”). paxressler.com
