Tonight, an Indiana female K9 handler is fighting for her life as she was shot in the head while conducting a K9 sniff on a traffic stop.

K9 Officer Seara Burton, Richmond Police Department, is a 4-year veteran with the department. Officer Burton and K9 Brev graduated from Vohne Liche Kennels together in April of this year. Her chief also stated she is engaged and was set to be married next weekend.

We know she is a warrior. Our thoughts are with her family & department during this tragic time. God speed. 🖤🦮
