BLIZZARD SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY:
This is going to be intense. Increasingly worried about hurricane force (74mph) wind gusts overnight tomorrow into Monday AM along the coast from the Delmarva on up through Cape Cod. This includes Long Island, coastal CT, RI, NJ shore, NYC, Cape COD, Marthas Vineyard and Nantucket. Anticipate 60-70mph wind gusts during peak intensity of the storm Monday predawn. Objects (outdoor furniture) should be secured or brought indoors as they will blow away. Snow drifts for this storm could exceed 4 feet. We’re looking at a widespread 12-24” from Philadelphia to Boston. Some locations under convection banding (difficult to predict) will pick up more than 30 inches of snow from this storm. There is a strong possibility of thunder snow during the storm’s peak intensity tomorrow night through Monday AM across the Pennsylvania-New Jersey-New York-Connecticut-Rhode Island - Boston tri-state area.
