Get evidence into the rooms where policy, coverage, and care-delivery decisions get made.
The Genentech Scholars Program, launched by the Science Center and Genentech, is funding publication-ready health research that can inform clinical practice, policy, and patient care.

Researchers can apply for grants of up to $25,000 through one of two tracks:
πŸ”¬ Disease-State:
For focused research in one of eight specific disease areas β€” including cardiovascular/metabolic, lupus nephritis, Alzheimer's, IBD, multiple sclerosis, diabetic macular edema, food allergy, and women's health β€” that can directly inform diagnosis, treatment, or care pathways

🌍 Community & Public Health:
For applied scholarship on access to care, caregiving burden, affordability, community access disparities, and the value of innovation: work that shapes how care is financed, delivered, and understood by policymakers and payers

Funding supports projects such as:
β€’ Real-world evidence studies
β€’ Health economics & outcomes research
β€’ Implementation science
β€’ Policy-relevant mixed methods
β€’ Systematic reviews

If your research is on the path to publication within the next 12 months, we encourage you to apply.
πŸ“… Proposal deadline: August 19, 2026

You've got the deck. You've got the vision. But when an investor asks to see your data room, cap table, IP filings, and board records β€” are you ready?

That's the question the University City Science Center's Capital Readiness Program is built to answer. Five days. Five investors. No pitching β€” just the honest, substantive feedback most founders never get until it's too late.

Free for selected companies. Cohort 12: December 7–11. Apply by August 21.
