Whistle Walks chronicles the lives of June Bug, Ben and Carrie and other inhabitants of Chapel Hill Plantation as they struggle to survive the brutality and oppressive conditions of slavery while dreaming of freedom. Spoken with authentic voices, Whistle Walk is alive with honesty and defiance, passion, heartbreak and humor.
