Whistle Walk is the heart wrenching and poignantly unforgettable story of a group of African Americans, enslaved in Virginia in 1863, at the height of the Civil War. Whistle Walks chronicles the lives of June Bug, Ben and Carrie and other inhabitants of Chapel Hill Plantation as they struggle to survive the brutality and oppressive conditions of slavery while dreaming of freedom. Spoken with authentic voices, Whistle Walk is alive with honesty and defiance, passion, heartbreak and humor. Sustained by their faith in God, this little band of courageous soul will ultimately seize control of their destinies, transcend human bo***ge, and run away to freedom! COME OUT AND SEE IT!!
