UPCOMING EXHIBITION!
On view starting June 6th come see our exhibition SITE : BODY featuring the work of two artists Natali Bravo-Barbee and Judit German-Heins. These artists use historic processes – cyanotype and wet plate collodion – to interrogate personal and political issues that affect women. From intimate considerations to pervasive violence perpetrated against women, they use their own unique perspectives to shine a spotlight on issues that have received far too little attention and attitudes that have driven – and continue to drive – a subordination of women in the political, legal, and social spheres.
Come to Halide on June 13th for an in-person opening reception from 5-8pm on our third floor gallery. Or join us virtually on June 29th for an online reception at 7pm where the two artists will speak about their work featured in the show. The exhibit will be on view through July 19th by appointment.
