The New York Times just featured Germantown in a big way, and we've been talking about it ever since. This is a neighborhood we know well, one we've worked in for years and have always had a deep connection to, both personally and professionally.

The piece captures what so many of us already know. Germantown is a place with roots that run deep. It's a neighborhood where families stay, where people come back, and where community has always been at the heart of everything. The Times highlights everything from the Johnson House, a stop on the Underground Railroad, to Uncle Bobbie's Coffee & Books, Attic Brewing, and the Colored Girls Museum, a reminder that Germantown's story spans centuries and keeps adding new chapters.

For those of us at Elfant Wissahickon, this recognition feels personal. We've been selling in Germantown and the surrounding Northwest Philadelphia neighborhoods for years, and we've always believed in what this community offers. Seeing it celebrated is a proud moment.

Interested in buying or selling in Germantown or Mt. Airy? We'd love to talk.
