Last weekend, I competed for the first time in five years—this time under my own club’s banner. It was an unreal milestone. Don’t worry, the itch has officially been scratched—I’m hanging it back up again.

has come a long way in a short time. From our humble beginnings in a church basement with leaky ceilings, we’ve built something special. This weekend, six of our fencers—many of whom started in that basement—walked away with medals at Duel of the East Coast. I couldn’t be more proud.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped bring this vision to life: for supporting the seed of this idea and shaping me as a coach; our coaching staff Doug Tableman and David DiSimone for your tireless work; my family for their unwavering support and sacrifices; and the parents who’ve trusted us to guide and inspire their kids.

This weekend felt like the start of a new chapter for RFC—and I can’t wait to see where the journey takes us next.
