Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) is a national childhood cancer foundation dedicated to raising funds for research into new treatments and cures for all children battling cancer.

Chicago-native Chef has been making a difference with culinary events since 2008! This will be Chef Kahan’s 12th Great Chefs Event Philadelphia. Kahan and his team from will be serving up a delicious duck & sausage brochette with ramp salsa verde at this year’s event.

Chef Kahan is Partner and Executive Chef to his restaurant empire . Awarded Outstanding Chef by the James Beard Foundation in 2013 and Best Chef of the Midwest in 2004, Kahan has earned the praise of many. We are grateful for his support to help kids with cancer year after year!

We’re thrilled to have James Beard Award Winner return to Philadelphia on June 7 to help fight childhood cancer! 💛

Grueneberg is Chef/Co-owner of Restaurant & Pastificio in Chicago’s West Loop. Since her childhood cooking with her grandparents on their ranch in Victoria, Texas, Grueneberg knew she was destined to work in the culinary world. Originally from Houston, Grueneberg moved to Chicago in 2005 to join the team at the award-winning Spiaggia under the leadership of Tony Mantuano. Beginning as a line cook, she quickly rose the ranks to Chef di Cucina in 2008 and then Executive Chef in 2010. During her tenure as Executive Chef, Spiaggia was awarded one Michelin Star for three consecutive years.

At this year’s Great Chefs Event, Chef Sarah will be serving a delicious mozzarella shooter with tomato dashi and giardiniera. We can’t wait to try a bite! 🧀🍅
