This afternoon was one of those moments that reminds me exactly why I’m so proud of this team.

After our friend and incredible human was able to trap a cat who had been abandoned inside an apartment and bring him to safety, Toast Malone (formerly Kitty) arrived to us in critical condition with a dangerously high temperature of 106°. What happened next was incredible to witness.

Every single person jumped in without hesitation — everyone working together seamlessly to help stabilize him and give him a chance. The level of teamwork, compassion, urgency, and dedication in that moment to save our new cat was something I’ll never forget.

While Fishtown Animal Hospital is not an emergency hospital, this team showed the kind of heart, skill, and determination that goes far beyond job titles. Thank you to Dr Wintergrass and our entire team for simply being who you are- heroes

I am endlessly grateful to work alongside people who care this deeply, Dr Newth, Dr Wintergrass and our entire team ❤️. People who stay late, move fast, support each other, and fight for animals when they need us most.

There are hard days in this field. There is heartbreak, stress, and exhaustion. But then there are moments like this — moments that remind me how lucky I am to stand beside this team every day.
