Toddler Perfect Chicken Nuggets | Recipes 01/30/2014

A family found this nice nugget recipe. I have noticed that some of "my kids" have trouble chewing this texture, and this recipe claims that they are easier to chew.

Reposted from a family I have been working with since January 2012. This child was 100% G-tube dependent when I met him.

For those who have followed Tucker's feeding progress, here is an update-Tucker has been eating 100% by mouth since January and gaining weight well on a very healthy meal plan. He's using the g tube to receive the 20 doses of meds he gets each day. This weekend Jennifer King came in town to work on chewing, self-feeding, and getting Tucker to take his meds orally. He will now be eating grilled cheese sandwiches, peanut butter sandwiches, nutri grain bars, and self feeding most of his puréed foods. I don't think I've ever worked this hard in my life as we have all worked to get Tucker to eat, and of course he works harder than all of us. But every bit of it has been worth it. Tonight Chris told Tucker how proud we all are of him, and Tucker was asleep by 730. Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers and also your support through this journey. I also may eventually need advice on how to get Easton to stop eating;) We now have two hungry boys on our hands lol!

Had a great afternoon speaking to and getting to know the OT's, Speech Therapists and PT's at Theraplay in Horsham PA. I love working together with other disciplines. An interdisciplinary approach can accelerate learning and is a recommended treatment model for childhood feeding problems.
