A growing recycling company that specializes in green building projects, is seeking an entry level SCALE OPERATOR who will assist our current staff with managing our customer base. We are located in Northeast Philadelphia, just off of I-95; personal transportation is strongly recommended.

The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service and managing a wide range of tasks in a busy environment. Entry level candidates will be considered. Experience with trucking, dispatch, or scale operation is a plus, but not required. We will train the right person with an exceptional skill set. Candidates must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges associated with providing support for a very unique, small office.

The ability to complete a variety of tasks in a timely and accurate manner is crucial to this role. Candidates must be able to interact with customers in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude. Remaining calm, proactive, resourceful and efficient under pressure is necessary. The ability to work as part of a team and work independently and instinctively with a strong attention to detail is equally important.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Greet visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
-Scale trucks in and out with accuracy and with a pleasant disposition.
-Answer phones in a helpful and professional manner and process client requests in a timely and organized fashion.
-Direct all other incoming calls to the appropriate party and accurately record and relay messages where necessary.
-Be able to work independently (without constant supervision) to prioritize tasks and work under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy and meeting deadlines.
-Manage multiple projects simultaneously to successful completion.
-Maintain records of contacts and project data accurately while being mindful of the details and the larger systems.
-Be able to run errands and adjust his/her daily work schedule as needed to contribute to a fast-paced work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
-Excellent communication skills -- both written and verbal
-Strong working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
-Experience working independently and under pressure while producing quality work
-Stress and time management skills
-Customer service experience
