V I R T U A 94 records

PPM3 (Arctic Transmissions) is the third installment of a series by Pursuing Paradise. This series is dedicated with fragments of different lives (past,present,future) collaged into foreplay loops.

This installment was recorded by an American team of glaciologists led by Claude Lorius during the 1959 Victoria Land Traverse. At the time when the team drove over what we now know as the Wilkes Land Anomaly, the radios they were carrying emitted audio they never heard before but could recognise to be "music". The few recordings that were preserved have been professionally restored, translated, and curated into a more comprehensive "mixtape".

The fact that these were heard by the team in '59 has baffled glaciologists, archaeologists, historians, scientists, and many more as it replicates many patterns and structures heard in modern day music.
