In October 2024, I took the trip of a lifetime to Japan to photograph my best friend marrying the love of her life. It felt fitting to take all of my cameras with me, which of course included a few disposable cameras (for the vibes obvs 💁‍♀️). We had the privilege of doing some exploring around Tokyo + the surrounding areas the week before her wedding, + I hauled one of those little cameras with me but saved the majority of them for myself + their guests (family members + chosen family members) to snap photos with throughout the wedding day.

Needless to say, these are some of my very favorite photos from the entire trip. 🥰

Film has always been very nostalgic for me. My dad splurged on one of the best film cameras of his day way back in the 80’s, + he recently (after years of+ years of me begging for it 😜) passed it on to me. I’m SO EXCITED to learn photography in new ways with that camera + hopefully someday even offer film for wedding days!

And all because I made a last minute decision to grab a handful of disposable cameras to take with me to Japan. 🤍 Life truly does come full circle, no?
