The event focused on the lack of manufacturing space and capacity for cell and gene therapies- a key driver of growth for Philadelphia.

This morning we attended an event for an important charity in Philadelphia, The Million Dollar Bike Ride for Orphan Disease Research, hosted by Penn Medicine's Orphan Disease Center. The Orphan Disease Center develops transformative therapies, specifically for severely under-researched rare diseases. The annual Million Dollar Bike Ride raises awareness and over $1 million in funds for research. It was a pleasure to attend this event and learn about the Orphan Disease Center from researchers, including its Director, Dr. Jim Wilson, pictured here.
