Here are some tips to remember when you are networking with the government:
Dos:
👍🏻 Know your business really well before going into any meeting or networking situation
👍🏻 Understand what the government is looking for and make sure your product aligns (ex. 9 oz, 6 oz)
👍🏻 Talk about ease of access and important details
Donts:
👎🏻 Talk about the user experience

👎🏻 Treat them like a consumer
It is extremely important to make sure your product aligns with the current needs of the government. Too often businesses who want to break into the space come in unprepared to cater to the needs of the government and end up wasting both time and money in the process.

When you are communicating with the government you cannot approach them like your traditional B2C consumer. The more direct, knowledgeable and memorable your product is the better. You don't need to message them or personally write them little emails.
The best thing you can do to communicate with the government is establish a website and blog so that you can showcase your product without selling your product.
