Narcissism has become a buzz word in the worst way.

We are all capable of narcissistic tendencies.

I think a lot of times, people call other people narcissists when they are unwilling to deal with their own bu****it and would rather blame other people for their problems.

This is a problem.

Especially when narcissistic abuse is real and its effects can be devastating.

When you're swimming in a sea of online culture where everyone wants to call anyone who might just be an as***le a narcissist, it waters down the real problem and makes it easier for the monster to hide under the bed.

I grew up with a mother that was damaged by the emotionally abusive relationships in her life.

Thankfully she taught me to be stronger than she was. She educated me about the warning signs and red flags of abuse, control and manipulation. Thankfully I actually listened to those life lessons and dodged a few bullets.

Bullets that she was never able to outrun.

Her trauma, her "bullet wounds" that never healed turned into chronic illness in the form of IBS, panic attacks and eventually a form of Parkinson's, leaving her trapped in her body at the end of her life.

Her story and her life inspire me to help other people heal in the ways she was unable.

This Wednesday I have the profound honor of joining the Phoenix Rising Summit hosted by my friend Cheryl L Wright, who wrote the book Swimming with Alligators: how to recognize narcissistic abuse, break unhealthy bonds, and unlock true empowerment.

This isn’t just another online event. It’s a chance to hear stories of resilience, get practical tools for healing, and connect with a community that understands what it means to rise from the ashes.

If you or someone you know is struggling with overcoming the trauma that comes from unhealthy and abusive relationships, please come and join us, or send the link to join to your friend.

Learn from the amazing speakers at this event, allow yourself to receive the hand that is being offered to you so that you can rise from the ashes.

Together we rise.
