Designer Spotlight: Holly Simple

In honor of Small Business Saturday we’re highlighting some of the designers/small businesses that make our store so special! Next up 💖

We love Holly's work for its joy! Her work is diverse, playful, youthful, loud, unexpected, and chock-full of creativity!

"Holly Simple is a Philly-based artist and designer with a passion for the bizarre. She started making comics while living in Brooklyn, NY 17 years ago! While in NY, she designed and self published her very first tarot deck (Holly Simple Tarot) which inspired her to create more and MORE work to ignite inner growth and inspiration in others. Moving to Philadelphia has allowed Holly to be a FULL TIME ARTIST - working out of the Bok Building - where you can shop all of her decks, books, jewelry, tufted home decor and her iconicly loud “1-800-FASHIN” hand painted clothing line!"

Designer Spotlight: Corinna Cowles

In honor of Small Business Saturday, we’re highlighting some of the designers/small businesses that make our store so special! Next up .cowles.clay 💫

We fell in love with Corinna's work for its handmade nature, playful use of color and pattern, and sculptural quality!

"Corinna Cowles’ work — pockets, pillows, paintings, curtains, wallpaper, and drapes in addition to ceramic work — is inspired by clothing and decorative patterns, engaging the viewer with absurd dislocations and transformations. Domestic life, craft, sculpture, identity, and class all seep out from a porous, multi-material plane of grids, loops, and abstractions of the everyday."
