Always a pleasure meeting and reading to the campers from the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children at the Stone Harbor Yacht Club during the summer. The children and teens are always curious, strong and collaborative and they seem to have such fun together during their week.

A special thanks to the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor. Today, the YCSH hosted 19 campers from the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children for a boat ride, followed by lunch and other activities. The campers had a great time cruising the bays around Stone Harbor, finishing off with a Chipwich after lunch. Thanks, YCSH, for making the seashore experience of these 19 campers even more special.

In recognition of November’s Diabetes Awareness Month, we hosted two sessions in collaboration with Drexel’s Dornsife Community Wellness Hub to share information with their patients on managing diabetes and promoting overall health and well-being.

We were in great company, joined by our community partners Andy Burstein, CEO of Accessible Pharmacy () and Kate Kosarek, executive director of the Greater Philadelphia American Diabetes Association (.diabetes_easternpa_de). Also in attendance were Monica Harmon, executive director of Drexel Dornsife Community Wellness HUB, and Crystal Pettigrew, Health Education Coordinator of the College of Nursing and Health Professions at Drexel ().
