Proud to join my Senate colleagues throughout the Philadelphia region in supporting the hardworking members of IBEW Local 614 in their fight for good benefits, fair wages, and dignity for their labor.

Our region is enduring a brutal heatwave, and reliable access to cool spaces is a matter of public health and safety for Philly residents and for all who are visiting our city during this moment of historic celebration. PECO workers show up at all hours of the day and night to do work that is dangerous and requires significant sacrifice and risk.

We ask PECO to take its bargaining with the union seriously, and to bring negotiations to a conclusion that respects the workers and safeguards the health and wellbeing of our constituents.
