Lot 161. “A.M. BININGER & CO. / 19 BROAD ST. / N.Y.”, (Denzin, BIN-31), (Bender, BPK-30), New York, ca. 1860 - 1870, medium yellow amber figural cannon, 12 1/4”h, smooth base, rough sheared and tooled lip, 95% original multicolored label reads: ‘Bininger’s Great Gun Gin, A.M. Bininger & Co. Established 1778, Sole Proprietors, No. 19 Broad St., N.Y.’ Perfect condition. A number exist, but only a very few have the original label! One of the more impressive looking of the Bininger series of bottles! Ex. Charles Aprill Collection.

Lot 247. Pot Lid, ‘Perfumers H.P. & W.C. Taylor Philadelphia’ / (classic scene of General Washington crossing the Delaware) / ‘Washington Crossing the Delaware’, (Jackson BJ-199), (Ball #207), Pennsylvania, ca. 1875 - 1878, white glazed pottery with a highly detailed multicolored transfer, 5 1/8” in diameter. About perfect. Probably produced for the Centennial of the American War of Independence held in Philadelphia in 1876. Very few of these colorful and historically important lids are known to exist and it is considered by both American and English collectors to be the most important and desirable of all pot lids. In 1991, A. Ball chose it to be on the dust cover of his book ‘The Price Guide to Pot Lids’.

ALLEN - MANUFACTURING - COMPANY - CHICAGO - ILLINOIS” - (crescent moon), American, ca. 1880 - 1895, rich yellowish green, melon sided, 8 1/8”h, smooth base, sheared and ground lip, original contents, neck wire and partial neck label. Perfect condition. If you have the clear glass and cobalt blue examples you need this to compete the set! John Blessing Collection.

Lot 206. CONCENTRIC RING EAGLE Flask, (GII-76), New England Glass Works, ca. 1815 - 1825, clear green with yellowish tint quart, pontil scarred base, sheared and tooled lip. About perfect (a pinhead in size flake is off the inside edge of the lip and a few spots of wear are on the Eagles breasts). Rated as being extremely rare and because of its unusual form is highly sought after by flask collectors and the tiny mentioned flaws take nothing away from this important flask!
