Just wishing for change is not enough. Even using our voices is not enough. Sometimes it’s crucial to address the problem by being the solution. Members of the know that action is what’s needed to help bridge, and more importantly eliminate, the gap in health disparities.

Last month, the consortium vaccinated 4,000 people in only a day, surpassing Philadelphia's vaccination average for this month of 3,500 first doses per day. While doing so, they also more than tripled the proportion of vaccinated Black residents than that of the city’s providers, and they’re not done yet. Working tirelessly, they are flexibly finding ways to address the harsh weather conditions, long wait times, and the registration requirements to help improve access in the Philadelphia community.

As of 03/16/2021 27,762 people have been vaccinated, “82% of who we vaccinate are people of color. 75% of whom are African-American.” -
