Austin will commit more than $100 million to support future decks covering portions of I-35 as part of the city's cap and stitch program. 🛣️
The plan includes three downtown caps and two northern stitches that would connect downtown and East Austin with public decks for parks, plazas and small buildings. While the city has reserved $104 million for the caps' foundations, more than $600 million in future deck financing is still to be identified.
