Why are my Austin, TX friends feeling bad? Hi mold count and smoke from farming fires in Mexico. Let's pray we get that rain.

I have good news and bad news.

Bad news: It's another disgusting, sticky day from start to finish. Hazy smoky air, high moisture, high mold count, all that good stuff.

Good news: Now TWO cold fronts in the forecast between now and Friday. The first one arrives on Wednesday and may already help to get our first storms of the forecast to develop this (Tuesday) afternoon/evening.

This will be our 5th day in a row under a level 1 out of 5 severe weather threat. The last four days, the cap held tight and didn't allow anything to develop. 5th times the charm perhaps with a better shot at isolated severe storms developing in the Hill Country this afternoon and evening.

**IF** storms break through the cap, they will quickly become severe with large/very large hail and damaging wind gusts. The best chance is capped at just 30% though for the Hill Country, and I think storms will struggle to survive the trip all the way to the I-35 corridor.

For the rest of us, low 90s this afternoon. Heat index near 100°. As sweaty as it gets.
