Gentry Performance Horses

This season has already been an incredible one. Developing a Grand Prix horse has been such a rewarding experience—honestly, something I never imagined I’d achieve.

Three weeks ago, I had a horse strike the inside of my thigh, and I ended up riding my tests at the Shelly Siegel show through some pretty intense pain. But it was worth it—I officially earned my USDF Gold Medal, and I did it before earning any other medal.

This past weekend at the CNDC Derby, we achieved our best scores yet: winning our Friday class with a 65% and taking the top spot again on Saturday with a score just shy of 70%.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted about what Gentry Performance Horses has been up to.

This past weekend was truly incredible. This Lusitano stallion and I are officially Grand Prix competitors. It is such an amazing feeling being able to train a horse up the levels. I could not have done it without the support of his owners and the training guidance from Tanya Vik and David Hunt.
